Acrylic Orange Alaskan Yellow Cedar Flute
NEW under construction NOW is another Orange Alaskan Yellow Cedar Flute. Crafted from Old Growth, First Generation cut Alaskan Yellow Cedar. The bore on this flute is 7/8″ in diameter with plans to tune to F or F# @440 Hz.
Flute is finished inside with the same color red so that no areas show the natural Alaskan Cedar coloring. Also featured on this flute are my signature hand cut Maple Totem Rails that helps keep the Mustang fetish focused on the cutting edge as well as giving it a signature look that only a hand shaped flute offers.
The Totem or Fetish selected for this flute is my whimsical interpretation of the wild Mustang. This fetish is completely hand carved and shaped from a solid piece of old growth maple. This fetish features a chimney design so placement is easy to accomplish.
Overall target length is around 23 1/4+” long and the playing holes are are spaced at 1 1/8″ apart for the bottom 3 playing holes and the upper three are set 1 1/16″ apart on center. There is a 1 1/4″ space between the #3 and #4 holes. Flute will be finished with a high gloss lacquer with more than 25 hand rubbed coats applied. The leather is our hand cut Wyoming Black Bison. Ships with a protective bag.
