Alaskan Yellow Cedar – Key of D @432 Hz – Under Construction

Old Growth Alaskan Yellow Cedar flute. This flute is crafted from Old Growth Alaskan Yellow Cedar.  This  six-hole Native American Style flute is tuned to the Key of  D @ 440Hz.  Completely hand crafted this flute features a new nest design.

The bore in this flute is a 1″ inch bore and like most AYC flutes I make this flute has a warm tone.  I am currently crafting the totem or fetish which will be a new design for this flute.  Pictures of the fetish will follow shortly.

This flute body has not been finished yet.  Currently it is in the raw wood state and the picture of this flute at the top of this page shows it as is.  There is an Ironwood Inlay for the cutting edge which gives it a nice contract and the totem will more than likely be crafted from the same type of wood.

If you have interest in purchasing this flute please reach out to me.  The plans are to finish this flute with a nice lacquer finish.  If you would like to have input on the finish you can do so right up to the point of it being done.  Also if you would like to add a feather accent now is the time to do just that as we can cut the groove that holds the feather’s leather prior to finishing flute.
