Alaskan Yellow Cedar – Key of C# or D 440Hz – Under Construction

Just complete a new Old Growth Alaskan Yellow Cedar flute body. Crafted from another exceptional piece of Alaskan Yellow Cedar which is very hard to come by.  The plan is for a  six-hole Native American Style flute tuned to the Key of C# or D @ 440Hz.  Simple elegance is the goal I am after with this flute blank.

The bore in this flute is a 1″ inch bore and like most AYC flutes I make be a beautiful sounding flute.  Overall length is 29 1/2″ inches.  Along with Port Orford – Alaskan Yellow Cedar is another one of my favorite woods to craft from.  I have added two Sapodilla Totem rails for aesthetics and ease of attaching totem.  This flute like others is built to the point that you can still add some of your own bling should you want to.  Personally I think this flute will be stunning in its own natural way.
