Reclaimed Western Red Cedar Heartwood

Old Western Red Cedar Heartwood Trimmed Cants waiting to be repurposed

From time to time I come across some old cants that were part of earlier jobs.  Several years ago I purchased a pallet of what were 8″x8″ trims off a big job in Oregon.  These cants where the trims off larger beams.  They were also the heartwood of the tree so I bought them sight unseen.

Examples our re-purposed Western Red Cedar Hobby Boards

I have finally decided to re-purpose these trimmed cants into boards suitable to our clientele.  Most of these Western Red Cedar  boards you will find listed on our website will be 7/8″ thick or 9/16″ thick.  Lengths are from 20″ inches in length up to 36″ in length.  Some will be resawn to 1″ thickness when appropriate.

Each board is trimmer to length based on any checking we find in the cutting of the boards.  These are great from making flute blanks, fetish stock, or other hobby projects.  The grain in these boards is hard to find in Western Red Cedar… these are really nice boards ready for your next flute building or hobby project.

These boards will be added to our HOBBY LUMBER & BILLETS page shortly.  In the meantime if you are interested in some reach out to me by phone (307) 690-0427 or email @ “sales@jacksonholetim.com”.  When they are gone they are GONE!
