Cutting New Black Willow & China Berry Blanks

Today I will be starting some new Pre-Bored flute blanks that will be cut from some Black Willow and China Berry.  I am hoping to get 7-10 nice blanks sets in 1″ and 7/8″ bores.  Black Willow is a really nice wood to make a flute from and it is easy to work and produces a very nice sounding flute.  China Berry is a bit hard much like Black Locust.  Although it is harder and the wood is a bit tricky to hand plane it too produces a nice sounding flute – although with a bit of a brighter voice.  You can find current inventory on our Pre-Bored Flute Blank Page.  Check them out…
